MAN have been leaders in reducing exhaust emissions, offering both Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems for many years. In fact, MAN pioneered SCR systems in the world’s first field testing in 1995. MAN’s EGR engines first appeared in 1999 in time for Euro 3 legislation with hundreds of thousands of units being produced and serving operators ever since.
This knowledge of EGR and SCR gained over the last two decades ideally places MAN for Euro 6 introduction, economic Euro 6 operation requires both technologies – combined for the first time. MAN have made huge investments into research and development of its Euro 6 engine range, ensuring that customers’ expectations of reliability and fuel economy are exceeded.
